Adrian Italian helmet
Found on the Dolomite front in the Marmolada area, it has the signs of bitter fighting.
I have chosen not to treat the surface to remove rust but only to block it in order to mantain the original piece 100 years later.
You can see the splinter entry holes and also an exit hole on the back.
Although this recovery may look like a broken and rusty helmet compared to other well-preserved ones, it has a high historical value. Those signs of atrocious battles that our soldiers had to face take us back to the most extreme environments of the war: the Marmolada glaciers.
